New Coaching Set Up for 2020
Adam Munro announced as Brothers Premier Grade Head Coach for 2020
Dave Wells, taking on the Director of Rugby Role at the Brothers, Adam Munro has been appointed to lead the Brothers Premier Grade squad for the next few seasons. Our succession plan was to bring Adam into the role from next season and he is excited to be taking the reins from Dave, said senior president Anthony Wall. Adam added great value to the set up in 2019 as the Premier Grade Assistant coach, he is also in his second year as the State 15’s Head coach. Adam has built a wonderful rapport with the playing group over the past season and has worked closely with the clubs young guns that have transitioned into the top grades this season.
Dave has coached the clubs top side since 2014, a stint spanning 6 seasons and has been integral in the clubs transition from 3rd Grade to Premier Grade. His appointment as Director of Rugby will see him implement a “Whole of Club” coaching structure as he focuses on the development and education of the clubs coaching group along with overseeing the clubs junior and senior academies. This was a natural progression for Dave, he had assumed many of the roles that come with the DOR job over the past few seasons and we know that Dave is very excited to continue to develop our coaches and young players said Anthony Wall.
Both appointments are testament to the Brothers commitment in providing pathways for both players and coaches alike. Adam has come through the ranks after coaching the clubs colts and reserve grade sides in recent years and was the Premier Grade assistant coach in 2019.
Dave is also a product of the Brothers pathway having coached all through the juniors, into colts, and then the clubs top side.
We will be looking to appoint additional coaches for our Premier, Reserve and Colts teams for 2020, if you are interested please phone David Wells on 0402 209 944 or send your Rugby CV to directorofrugby@joondalupbrothers.com
