2022 Ladies Day “Simply Brilliant”

JBRUFC Ladies Day 2022. What can we say?! An event that has come from humble origins to being one of the biggest – if not the biggest (sorry lads) on the Rugby Calendar each year – our Events team knows how to turn it on and we certainly make sure the ladies in our lives know they’re appreciated!

The event could not go ahead without the efforts of the committee members and club volunteers who met up on many occasions to print, laminate, cut, glue, staple, and drink lots of wine to ensure every lady present had a great experience yet again! When we announced a “Blossom” theme – boy did they commit!

It was a wonderland of colour and every single attendee understood the assignment!

As in previous years, $10 of every ticket sold goes to a chosen charity. This year we selected Dandelions WA, a cause close to the hearts of one of our beautiful ladies and our whole JBRUFC community rallied behind the cause with amazing donations of raffle prizes, giveaways, and auction items that all added up and reflected the generous nature of our club and its members.

A big thank you to our MCs for the day Masie Masterton and Will Harrington who kept the ladies entertained, engaged, and amused!

A special mention to Ali Skillen and her friends for the EPIC catering and artistic flair, Emma Jones for driving the event and bringing the vision together, Kirsty Wood for the gorgeous hamper arrangements, Blair Ledger for taking on the role of official photographer again (check out our gallery here) as well as our stage builders, laminators, flower-makers, bar staff, canteen staff, and set-up and pack-down crews!

Thank you also to;

  1. Sante, our wonderful DJ
  2. Seton from Murray St Woolworths for donating jam, cream, and condiments
  3. Liquor Barrons Hillary’s for the Magnums of Prosecco
  4. Paddy Malone’s and The Craigie Tavern for the 3L bottle of Red wine and drink vouchers

It can’t go without mention – shout out to our Senior Grade players – the best part of the night is when the men take the stage to put on a performance for the ladies and again this year, they really went the extra mile!

Colts performing a TikTok mash-up, Reserve Grade performing a medical marvel, Thirds giving us a Spice Girl epic, and our Premier Grade strutting their stuff in standard Rugby attire (think Bunning’s umbrellas…)!

The crowd voted and our Ressies took the title of Miss Joondalup 2022 winning the trophy with an incredible performance! Check out all the acts here.

In true Joondalup Brothers style, the night ended with lots of dancing, and a great night was had by everyone!
