Our event has come from humble origins to be the biggest event on the Brothers rugby calendar and put simply, it’s the one day of the year that rugby itself takes a back seat! It’s the envy of many clubs as our events team once again raised the bar and surpassed previous events which is certainly no easy feat. With close to 150 ladies attending, the club rooms were taken over for the day, and demand for tickets made this event sell out in only 4 days!
Some of our ladies took to the stage early to set the tone for the day, performing an incredible rendition of “Dancing Queen”. Donna, Em, Kirsty, Loz & Tanz all smashed it out beautifully. Check it out here.
Mamma Mia was the theme and was embraced by all, with the entire clubrooms transformed into a “Greek Taverna” on one side to compliment the “Mamma Mia” theme with a “Disco Diva” corner to reflect on Abba/70s theme.
Our beautiful ladies enjoyed a day of fun games, great food & wines, and wonderful company. With laughter and cheers filling the club rooms the environment was truly one of absolute Sisterhood! The players took on Associates Rugby Club and donned our custom-designed jerseys which were sold off after the games. Once the on-field games were completed it was time for the “Miss Joondalup” pageant. A highlight of the night without a doubt, and one the ladies look forward to. It’s the player’s way of celebrating the ladies of our club. Check out all the photos here.
Every year the event takes a lot of effort from volunteers who plan and execute a truly magnificent day and night ensuring every beautiful mum, wife, girlfriend, sister, and friend lets their hair down and enjoys a great experience yet again!
As in previous years, $10 of every ticket sold goes to a chosen charity. This year we selected Ovarian Cancer Australia, a cause close to the hearts of one of our beautiful ladies Shirley Smyth who is an Ovarian Cancer survivor.
Thank you to the ladies who planned and set up the event: Emma Jones, Ali Skillen, Donna Allen, Amanda Hore, Tania Wall, Kirsty Wood & Lauryn Jones also to Chloe Summers for helping out on Friday night!
A big thank you to our MCs for the day Will Harrington for his “Dad Jokes” and games, Brett Allen and Michael Telford who kept the ladies entertained, engaged, and amused!

Miss Joondalup Pageant…!
It can’t go without mentioning, and a big shout out to our Senior players – the best part of the night is when they take to the stage, this year they performed some ABBA classics with a twist for the ladies which was received enthusiastically to standing ovations. With the enormous effort that went into their performances, they really went the extra mile!
Colts performed “Does Your Mother Know”, Ressies performed “Money, Money, Money”, Thirds gave us a special rendition of “Waterloo”, and our Premier Grade got their rigs out, and strutted their stuff to the tunes of ABBA in standard rugby attire, the “Brothers” Budgie Smugglers.
The crowd voted and our Ressies once again were crowned “Miss Joondalup” pageant winning 2023 and received the perpetual trophy with an incredible performance! In true Brothers style, we kicked on late into the night with dancing, laughing, and quite a few tall stories. You can relive the player’s performances here.
We hope to see you all next year when we will do it all again!
