Joondalup Brothers’ inaugural calendar was launched on Ladies’ Day and was a huge success. The players got together to help raise money for the club and came up with the idea of doing a calendar. “After a few drinks, the boys got all amped up and wanted to do a calendar,” Josh Wells said. “We wanted to help raise some much-needed funds for the club and do something that hadn’t been done before. So after a heap of organizing and finally getting the group together we got our kit off for the club”. Jess Marks organized the photographer and it was go time. Grayson Worton from GK Advanced Photography has been taking plenty of action photos during the year so he knew the players pretty well and was happy to jump on board but had no idea what to expect. As he was setting up the players were busy getting their pump on for the photos and busy looking for suitable props to use as well. “The boys were really nervous and somewhat embarrassed at times to be posing in front of the camera, in front of their mates but after a while, they got into the swing of it and really enjoyed the experience”. Said, Grayson. They are all happy with the end result and now it’s available for sale with all funds going towards the Brothers. The calendar covers July 2023 – June 2024 and can be purchased at home games and most training nights for $29.95 from Emma Jones along with our Brothers 2023 merchandise.
